Global entertainment company Warner Bros Discovery has hired Nine Entertainment to sell the ads it will run on the cheapest tier of its streaming platform Max, which launches in Australia this month.

The deal means Nine, which owns the Nine Network, streaming service Stan, radio stations 2GB and 3AW, and news outlets The Sydney Morning Herald and The Australian Financial Review, will represent Max to advertisers and take a cut from the ads it runs. Warner Bros Discovery owns HBO, CNN, Discovery, the Cartoon Network and the DC comic universe.
