Air New Zealand Buys Back 1.5 Million Ordinary Shares

Air New Zealand (NZE:AIR, ASX:AIZ) repurchased 1.5 million ordinary shares for cancelation as part of its buyback program disclosed on Feb. 20, according to a Friday filing with the Australian and New Zealand bourses.

The acquisition comprised 364,003 ordinary shares bought via the NZX at an average price of NZ$0.6289 and 383,231 ordinary shares acquired on the ASX at an average price of AU$0.5674. It also acquired off-market 777,733 ordinary shares from the Ministry of Finance for NZ$0.6271 apiece.
