Spanish Police Disrupt Fake Cryptocurrency Investment Scam, Involving $32.6 Million

BlockBeats News, March 18th, the Spanish police announced that they have successfully dismantled a Bitcoin-themed cryptocurrency pyramid scheme that promoted "fake cryptocurrency investments," causing victims to lose about $32.6 million. The police have arrested 8 suspects, but it is estimated that "over 3600 people" suffered losses in this scheme. The Economic and Financial Crime Unit of the National Police Corps (CNP) revealed that the mastermind of this criminal network was a "computer programmer" who has been captured in Malaga.
