Gold Road Resources (ASX:GOR) said that gold production at the Gruyere gold mine in Western Australia in the March quarter is expected to be between 70,000 ounces of gold to 73,000 ounces of gold, down from the 91,631 ounces it reported in the December 2024 quarter, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

Gold production is expected to be lower due to maintenance on the primary crusher and the failure of two conveyor belts, per the filing. The Gruyere joint venture investigated the cause of these issues and has developed recovery plans.

The mining firm maintains the production guidance for the year of 325,000 to 355,000 ounces at an all-in-sustaining cost of AU$2,4000 to AU$2,600 per ounce.

The Gruyere joint venture is a 50-50 joint venture between Gold Road Resources and Gruyere Mining, a member of the Gold Fields, which manages and operates the Gruyere gold mine.

Its shares fell 3% in early trading on Tuesday.
