The US Supreme Court on Monday rejected a bid by KKR-owned (KKR) BMC to force IBM (IBM) to pay it $1.6 billion in damages, upholding an appellate court ruling.
BMC had previously won a $1.6 billion lower court award after arguing that IBM replaced its mainframe software at AT&T (T), a verdict that was set aside on appeal last year, news outlets reported.
BMC took the case to the Supreme Court, which denied its petition to reconsider the case, according to the court's website.
IBM and BMC did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
