Utilities stocks rose 1.1% at midday Tuesday, one of the only two sectors trading in the green on the Australian bourse.

Carnegie Clean Energy (ASX:CCE) said that its wholly-owned unit Carnegie Technologies Spain received a milestone payment of 317,945 euros from Ente Vasco de la Energía for its ACHIEVE+ project, delivering the first deployment of its CETO technology in Europe at the Biscay Marine Energy Platform site in Spain.

On the other hand, the information technology sector plunged 4.5%, after technology stocks saw a sharp sell-off on Wall Street amid fears of a potential recession. The Nasdaq Composite index fell 4%, its steepest single-day percentage loss since Sept 2022.

Weebit Nano (ASX:WBT) achieved the Automotive Electronics Council -Q100 150 degrees Celsius qualification for its resistive random-access memory module in SkyWater Technology's 130-nanometer complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor process. The qualification confirms the quality and reliability of Weebit's non-volatile memory technology for high-temperature automotive applications.
