Southwest Airlines (LUV) Chief Executive Bob Jordan said Tuesday at an industry conference that the airline company is ending its policy of hedging against swings in fuel prices.
The move will eliminate hedging premium payments, Jordan said, according to a FactSet transcript of the conference.
Southwest did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
Shares were over 8% higher in recent trading.
