SoftBank Group's (TYO:9984) British semiconductor unit Arm Holdings will supply Malaysia with chip designs and technology over the next ten years, according to a Wednesday statement.
Malaysia, which packages about 10% of global semiconductors, will pay Arm $250 million for various semiconductor licenses and expertise.
This initiative aims to enhance Malaysia's local chip design and boost semiconductor exports to 1.2 trillion ringgit by 2030.
