Singapore Technologies (SGX:S63) commercial aerospace business is set to undertake a capacity transition plan for its airframe Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Thursday.
The initiative is aimed at enhancing the company's competitiveness in the MRO market.
Under the initiative, ST Engineering will build up on its subsidiary, VT Mobile Aerospace Engineering's operations in Mobile, Alabama and will also work with local communities for a smooth transition.
Shares of the company were up nearly 4% in recent trading.
