1056 ET - Broadcom has become a major AI play for investors and should hold that posture for years to come given the goals of its top customers, Benchmark analyst Cody Acree says in a research note. Its big hyperscaler customers, Google and Meta, seem to have been joined by ByteDance, and each of the three are planning to deploy up to a million clusters of XPUs--the chips used to train generative AI models--across a single fabric, or the interconnecting infrastructure for chips, the analyst says. The combination of just those three customers represents an estimated serviceable addressable market of $60 billion to $90 billion in fiscal 2027 across Broadcom's networking and XPU businesses, Acree says.
