BUZZ-BHP slips; MS sees potential for further compensation in Samarco case

** Shares of BHP Group BHP.AX fall 0.4% to A$37.075, in-line with 0.6% drop in broader mining sub-index .AXMM

** Analysts at Morgan Stanley note that only a few municipalities have signed the Mariana agreement relating to the 2015 Samarco dam disaster in Brazil, which resulted in 19 deaths and caused one of the country's worst environmental disasters

** 21 municipalities have filed fresh cases seeking additional compensation, says brokerage

** Morgan Stanley says there is a remote possibility of further compensation to get all municipalities to sign

** Samarco is a join venture between BHP and Vale VALE3.SA

** Stock down 1.2% YTD
