Quadrant Private Equity has hired Macquarie Capital to oversee the sale of its retailer, Amart Furniture, as the firm looks to capitalise on increased consumer spending and a housing super cycle.
Amart was founded in 1970 by Queensland billionaire John van Lieshout and now has 68 stores across Australia in large-format sites. It is known for its affordable furniture such as sofas, dining room sets, bedroom and outdoor furniture.
