Air Transport Services Group unit (ATSG) Omni Air International's unionized pilots have voted to authorize strikes in response to allegedly unlawful changes to work rules, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters said Tuesday.
The vote from the Teamsters pilots authorizes the union's leadership to call strikes when Omni or Air Transport Services unilaterally makes changes to working conditions without adhering to the legally required process, the Teamsters said.
The union said that over the past year, Omni and Air Transport Services Group have committed "abuses [that] have worsened longstanding issues with scheduling, pay, and overall employment conditions."
Air Transport Services Group didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
