TEMPO.CO, JakartaRosan Roeslani, the CEO of Danantara, announced that former British Prime Minister Sir Anthony Charles Lynton Blair, or Tony Blair, has become a member of Danantara's supervisory board.

"Yes, (Tony is now part of supervisory board)," said the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming at the Presidential Palace Complex, Central Jakarta, on Monday, February 24, 2025.

The minister stopped short of detailing the appointment of Tony Blair as member of the sovereign wealth fund’s supervisory board.

Previously, the head of the Presidential Communication Office Hasan Nasbi explained that Rosan will be assisted by Pandu Sjahrir, as the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Dony Oskaria as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Danantara.

Pandu currently serves as the Chair of Digital Financial Development at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin). Meanwhile, Dony holds the position of Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs).

Prabowo also appointed Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir as chair of the supervisory board of Danantara and Muliaman Hadad as his deputy.

President Prabowo Subianto officially launched Danantara today at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, stating that the agency will focus on nickel downstream industry and the construction of artificial intelligence data centers.

Prabowo revealed that the first wave of investments in Danantara, worth US$20 billion, would be allocated for about 20 national projects. "Roughly 20 strategic projects worth billions of dollars will focus on the downstream nickel, bauxite, copper, artificial intelligence data center construction, oil refinery, petrochemical plant, food and protein production, aquaculture, and renewable energy," said Prabowo in his inaugural speech for Danantara, which was monitored via the YouTube broadcast from the Presidential Secretariat on Monday, February 24, 2025.

The Head of State claimed that these projects would have a high impact and create significant added value for the country, such as creating quality jobs and long-term prosperity for the people.
