Feb 26 - (The Insurer) - Chubb has named Ana Robic as regional president of Europe, Middle East and Africa, succeeding David Furby, who has been appointed executive chairman for the region.
In her new role Robic will assume executive operating responsibility for Chubb’s European business, including the UK, continental Europe, Chubb Global Markets, the Middle East and Africa.
She will report to Paul McNamee, executive vice president at Chubb Group and president of Chubb Overseas General Insurance.
Effective April 1, Robic succeeds Furby, who has held the role for more than six years.
As EMEA executive chairman role, Furby will have executive oversight of Chubb's general insurance business in the region, including strategy and governance.
He will continue as a member of Chubb’s European group board, as well as chair of the underwriting risk committee.
Robic's current role as division president of Personal Risk Services at Chubb North America will be assumed by Melissa Scheffler, currently chief operating officer of PRS, who will also become vice president at Chubb Group.
