EQ Resources' (ASX:EQR) Saloro tungsten operation in Spain began a plant expansion project comprising the installation of a third X-ray transmission ore sorter and related infrastructure, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The installation and the upgrade to the existing ore sorter plant are expected to increase capacity by 50%. The existing ore sorter plant currently processes a total of 100 tonnes per hour.
The new ore sorter includes a dedicated feed station for the historic low-grade ore stockpile, as well as a wet screening station to enhance fines recovery and optimize overall sorting efficiency.
The firm's shares rose 2% on market close on Monday.
