CHICAGO, Feb 18 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for corn and soybeans delivered to processing facilities around the U.S. Midwest were steady to higher on Tuesday, while bids were mostly unchanged at interior and river elevators and mixed at corn ethanol plants, dealers said.
* Frigid weather and icy road conditions across the central United States limited the pace of grain deliveries on Tuesday morning. Temperatures are expected to remain below normal through at least the end of this week, according to forecasters.
* Rising Chicago Board of Trade corn futures prices sparked some light farmer sales on Tuesday, although many growers continued to hold supplies in hopes of even higher prices.
* CBOT March corn futures were up 6-1/4 cents at $5.02-1/2 a bushel near midday. The contract pushed above the key $5 mark at Tuesday's opening bell, a milestone not reached by the most-active contract Cv1 since October 2023.
* CBOT March soybeans SH25 were up 3-1/2 cents at $10.39-1/2 a bushel.
