Feb 4 - (The Insurer) - Everest is currently seeking regulatory approval for its newly incorporated managing agency to assume oversight of Syndicate 2786, with Iain Sanderson and Jason Keen appointed as directors, The Insurer can reveal.
Everest Managing Agency Limited was incorporated as a private limited company last year and is understood to be pending regulatory approval to take over the management of Syndicate 2786.
Keen currently serves as head of international at Everest Insurance in London, having joined the company in 2022. Prior to that he spent 11 years at Chubb, latterly as divisional president of Chubb Global Markets.
Sanderson most recently held the role of interim head of finance transformation at Aegis London, prior to which he was head of financial planning and analysis at Tokio Marine Kiln.
This publication revealed in September last year that Everest was exploring the formation of its own managing agency to assume oversight of Syndicate 2786.
The Lloyd's platform – which is 100 percent backed by capital from the Everest Group – was set up under third-party managing agent Asta in 2015.
As previously reported, it predominantly underwrites third-party liability insurance, primarily in the UK, with other lines of business including property, energy, casualty, financial lines, and accident and health.
Everest’s active underwriter Rob Crocker departed in April 2024 to join Asta-managed Carbon Syndicate 4747. He was succeeded by Paul Dreblow, who previously served as head of property, UK and EGM.
