TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Parahyangan Train (KA) is back in operation, replacing the Argo Parahyangan Train to serve the Jakarta-Bandung PP route. Public Relations Manager of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Operational Area 1 Jakarta Ixfan Hendriwintoko said that the Parahyangan Train has a series of Economy, Executive, Luxury, and Panoramic classes.
"The Parahyangan Train will serve five daily trips with an average travel time of around three hours," said Ixfan in a written statement on Monday, February 10, 2025.
The Parahyangan Train serves a route of 166 kilometers, crossing Gambir, Purwakarta, Cimahi, to Bandung PP. Here is the travel schedule that has been in effect since February 1, 2025:
Gambir (Jakarta) – Bandung route:
- Parahyangan Train (KA 132): departs at 07:30 WIB, arrives at 10:21 WIB
- Parahyangan Train (KA 138): departs at 09:15 WIB, arrives at 12:18 WIB
- Parahyangan Train (KA 136): departs at 10:05 WIB, arrives at 13:18 WIB
- Parahyangan Train (KA 134): departs at 18:25 WIB, arrives at 21:20 WIB
- Parahyangan Train (KA 140): departs at 23:05 WIB, arrives at 02:02 WIB
Parahyangan Train Fares:
- Economy Class: Rp150,000
- Executive Class: Rp200,000-Rp250,000
- Panoramic & Luxury Class: Rp435,000-Rp450,000
"The fare can change at any time but remains within the upper limit and lower limit fare," said Ixfan.
So, what is the difference between Economy, Executive, Luxury, and Panoramic classes on the Parahyangan Train? Here are the details:
- Economy Class: economical choice, equipped with ergonomic seats and AC
- Executive Class: wider seats with reclining seats and ample legroom
- Panoramic Class: equipped with wide glass windows, allowing passengers to enjoy the scenery throughout the journey
- Luxury Class:
Exclusive seating: fewer seats with a 2-1 or 1-1 configuration
Entertainment facilities: Personal TV screen with Video on Demand (VOD).
Food and drinks: one free meal, and access to the mini bar
Additional facilities: Train attendance button, USB plug, footrest, folding table, reading lamp, and others.
