Keppel Completes Build of 33-Storey Commercial Tower Keppel South Central; Secures Anchor Tenant In Financial Services

The company says that nearly 50% of the office space and rental units are either committed or being actively negotiated.

Keppel has completed the construction of Keppel South Central, its flagship 33-storey commercial tower in Tanjong Pagar, and secured a leading financial services group as its first anchor tenant, according to a release dated Feb 10. 

The company adds that nearly 50% of the office space and rental units at Keppel South Central are either committed or “being actively negotiated”. 

Keppel’s real estate CEO Louis Lim says that the commercial tower constitutes “state-of-the-art” technologies, “super low” energy design and “24 by 7” facilities. 

“We are pleased to welcome our first anchor tenant who will experience this next-generation smart building designed for the talents of tomorrow. We have also garnered strong interest from prospective tenants including major multinational corporations in the technology, finance and professional services sectors, who are attracted to the building’s flexible and innovative urban space solutions,” says Lim.

Keppel South Central occupies about 650,000 sq ft of land, with floor-to-ceiling heights of 3.2 metres, and is 5G-enabled, according to the release. 

The building has also been awarded the Building and Construction Authority’s BCA Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy certification.

Shares in Keppel closed 5 cents lower, or 0.74% down, at $6.74 on Feb 10.
