Biggest Gains in Financial Strength in the Management Top 250 -- Journal Report

Dow Jones

Nvidia posted the biggest increase in scores for financial strength among the latest Management Top 250, followed by Progressive and GoDaddy.

The Management Top 250 ranking compares companies using the late management guru Peter Drucker's principles. Companies are graded in five categories: customer satisfaction, innovation, social responsibility, employee engagement and development, and financial strength. The statistical model that produces the ranking was created by researchers at Claremont Graduate University's Drucker Institute. Bendable Labs, a private firm, works with Drucker to perform the calculations and interpret them.

Nvidia's score for financial strength rose 69 points to 138.7, making the company the leader in this category. Progressive's financial-strength score climbed 19.3 points to 78.3 and GoDaddy's rose 18.5 points to 63.2.

Nvidia is ranked second for overall score and is also second for employee engagement and development. Apple, the highest-ranked company overall, posted the sixth-biggest gain in financial strength and ranks second for financial strength.

Progressive is 168th overall and 10th for financial strength, and GoDaddy is 207th overall and 33rd for financial strength.

Nvidia and GoDaddy also are among the 10 biggest gainers in overall score, with Nvidia second that list and GoDaddy sixth. Uber Technologies, the fifth-biggest gainer in financial strength, also had the sixth-biggest gain in scores for social responsibility and the fourth-biggest increase in overall score. And Cardinal Health had the eighth-biggest gain both in financial strength and overall.

You can explore the full, detailed rankings here. Highlights featured in the coming weeks will include the leaders in financial strength and other categories, and the biggest gainers in other components of the overall ranking.
