Ericsson (ERIC) said Tuesday it has signed a multi-year agreement with the Lower Colorado River Authority to deploy a private LTE network for utilities in parts of 68 Texas counties.
The network will back grid modernization projects, provide low-latency communications and help safeguard utility operations, Ericsson said.
Initial operations to establish the network are slated to start in Q1 2025, the company said.
Financial details were not disclosed.
