Barton Gold Holdings (ASX:BGD) confirmed the presence of high-grade silver in the Tolmer system's weathered zone, part of the Tarcoola gold project in South Australia, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
The confirmation is based on new multi-element assays and follows the detection of shallow high-grade gold at Tarcoola, the filing said.
The mining company reported up to 83.6 grams per tonne grade of gold and 312 g/t silver in quartz veining following a reverse circulation (RC) drilling program from May to July 2024.
Barton Gold also started a follow-up RC drilling campaign at the Tolmer prospect, per the filing.
