Beta Bionics (BBNX) shares debuted on Nasdaq Thursday with an opening price of $22, above the initial public offering price of $17.
Shares were recently changing hands at $23.28 apiece, up almost 37% from the IPO price.
The stock debuted on the Nasdaq Global Market under the "BBNX" ticker.
The IPO consisted of 12 million shares and the company granted underwriters an option to buy up to an additional 1.8 million shares consisting of 475,000 shares from Beta Bionics and over 1.3 million shares from existing stockholders.
The company said it expects to generate $204 million from the IPO before the overallotment option is exercised.
