Colgate-Palmolive (CL) is expected to meet consensus estimates on both revenue and earnings in Q4 but without a significant upside amid challenges including foreign exchange headwinds and international growth concerns, RBC Capital Markets said in an earnings preview on Wednesday.
The company's shares have underperformed the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR fund but solid business fundamentals and international share gains provide support amid ongoing headwinds, the firm added.
RBC expects Colgate-Palmolive to provide 2025 guidance, with organic sales likely to grow 3% to 5%, but headwinds could limit profitability upside.
Colgate-Palmolive is set to release Q4 results on Friday.
RBC has a sector perform rating on Colgate-Palmolive's stock with a $101 price target.
