CHICAGO, Jan 24 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for soybeans were mixed at Midwestern crush plants on Friday as some processors have backed away from the market after recent farmer selling, dealers said.
* The corn basis was mixed at river terminals and flat to higher at processors.
* A setback in soy and corn futures prices on Friday discouraged further farmer selling after sales earlier this week, dealers said.
* Prices retreated after Chicago Board of Trade soybean futures Sv1 reached their highest level since July on Thursday and corn futures Cv1 touched an October 2023 high.
* Soybean basis bids declined by 5 cents a bushel each at processors in Decatur, Illinois and Lafayette, Indiana.
* At a processor in Lincoln, Nebraska, the soybean basis rose by 10 cents a bushel, after dropping by 15 cents there over the previous two days.
* For corn, a processor in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, raised its bid for immediate delivery.
