VCI Global Acquires 64 Super Micro Computer Servers for Over $25 Million

VCI Global (VCIG) said Monday it has acquired 64 Super Micro Computer (SMCI) servers equipped with 512 Nvidia (NVDA) H200 tensor core graphics processing units for more than $25 million to roll out its artificial intelligence cloud business.

The investment, made through its AI Computing Center Malaysia unit, is expected generate roughly $6 million in annual revenue, representing an estimated 20% increase in earnings by next year.

VCI said its unit's first AI computer center in Cyberjaya, Malaysia is expected to go live in Q2.

Shares of VCI rose 21% in recent Monday premarket activity, while Super Micro was down 9%.
