Xunlei (XNET) said Monday it has agreed to buy Shanghai Kuanghui Internet Technology, operator of sports media platform Hupu, for 500 million Chinese renminbi ($69 million).
The cloud services provider said the acquisition, expected to close in Q1, will combine its cloud and content transmission technology with Hupu's sports media and community platform.
The company aims to integrate Hupu's user base and content into its ecosystem to support community interaction, content distribution, and sports-related engagement, Xunlei said.
