CHICAGO, Jan 13 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for corn and soy moved up at elevators, river terminals, ethanol plants and other types of processors around the U.S. Midwest on Monday, as futures hit fresh highs after U.S. Department of Agriculture data on Friday showed crop estimates for both commodities were lower than trade expectations.
* The spot basis for corn fell down at an elevator in Cincinnati, Ohio, a processor in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and a river terminal in Savanna, Illinois.
* The soy basis dropped at the elevator in Cincinnati, a processor in Lafayette, Indiana and a river terminal in Seneca, Illinois.
* Soybean futures Sv1 were up 17-1/4 at $10.42-1/2 a bushel at 11:15 a.m. (1715 GMT), having had hit their highest level since early October.
* Corn futures Cv1 were up 4-1/4 at $4.74-3/4 per bushel, after reaching their highest point since December of 2023.
* Weekly export inspections for corn for the week ended Jan. 9 were at 1,441,006 metric tons, compared with analyst estimates of 500,000-1,000,000 tons, according to a Reuters poll. Weekly export inspections for soybeans were at 1,350,121 tons, in line with trade expectations for 1,075,000-1,700,000 tons.
* Most locations have rolled their soybean basis to the CBOT March soybean contract SH25 as the January futures contract SF25 nears its Jan. 14 expiration.
