Prudential (HKG:2378, SGX:K6S) bought back 1.5 million shares from the London Stock Exchange for an average price of 6.01 pounds sterling apiece on Tuesday, a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing said.
The insurer intends to cancel the repurchased shares and following the buyback, the firm will be left with 2,650,079,138 shares in issue.
