Samsung Electronics (KRX:005930) subsidiary Samsung Display will begin mass production of rollable OLED screens for laptops in April, with Lenovo set to launch the ThinkBook Plus G6 Rollable globally in June.

The screen expands vertically by about 50%, transforming from a 14-inch 5:4 display to a 16.7-inch 8:9 aspect ratio for enhanced multitasking.

The laptop also features Samsung's Eco OLED technology, lowering power consumption and panel thickness.

Shares of Samsung Electronics fell more than 1% at market close on Friday.
