LG Energy Solution (KRX:373220) and US chipmaker Qualcomm Technologies signed a joint promotion agreement to fast-track the commercialization of system-on-chip (SoC)-based battery management system (BMS) diagnostic solutions.
The advanced BMS software will run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon Digital Chassis and integrate with its car-to-cloud connected services platform, offering enhanced diagnostics and cloud connectivity for automakers, the South Korean battery maker said in a Monday release.
Shares of LG Energy Solution fell nearly 2% at market close on Thursday.
