South32's (ASX:S32) Worsley Alumina project received approval from the Western Australian Minister for Environment, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
Following this state approval, the company now anticipates receiving federal approval in early 2025, the filing said.
Shares of the company fell almost 1% at market close Friday.
