US Cash Grains-Corn basis dips at some processors as farmers make sales

CHICAGO, Dec 9 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for U.S. corn declined at some Midwestern processing plants after farmers increased crop sales to take advantage of rising prices, brokers said.

* Most-active corn futures Cv1 on Monday hit their highest price since June 26 at the Chicago Board of Trade.

* Farmer selling began to accelerate last week.

* Some farmers are more willing to make sales because they were burned by low prices after putting their 2023 harvests in storage, a broker said.

* Processors lowered their basis by 6 cents a bushel in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and by 5 cents in Blair, Nebraska.

* For soybeans, the basis rose by 5 cents a bushel at a processing facility in Lafayette, Indiana, and was flat elsewhere.
