Allan vows to cut red tape, cosy up to business to revive Victoria

Victoria’s Allan government has promised to slash red tape costs by $500 million, halve the number of regulators and turbocharge gas project approvals in a plan that aims to restore business confidence in the debt-laden state economy.

Premier Jacinta Allan also announced that former Australia Post and NAB boss Ahmed Fahour will lead a new taskforce to boost relations between government and industry, amid heavy pressure on Labor over the dire health of the economy.
