European Lithium's (ASX:EUR) 74.3%-owned mining firm, Critical Metals, secured environmental clearance from the Carinthian state government for the Wolfsberg lithium project in Austria via its subsidiary ECM Lithium, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
As per the regulator, the project does not need an environmental impact assessment, given that the project's above-ground facilities will cover less than 10 hectares, the miner said in the filing.
Company shares rallied nearly 13% in recent Monday trade.
