XPeng (XPEV) President Brian Gu predicted the electrical vehicle maker will break even next year, boosted by demand for its new models and expansion into new overseas markets, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing an interview.
"I think we are indeed entering the super cycle," Reuters cited Gu as saying. "I think sometime in next year, probably towards the later part or the end of next year, we will see as [sic] reaching the breakeven point... We are in a very confident position to see that becomes more likely."
Gu said Xpeng will launch four new models next year and will expand overseas despite tariffs imposed by the US and Europe. He said the company is in discussions with dozens of players in the industry on potential partnerships, Reuters reported.
