Hecla Mining (NYSE:HL) -5.2% in Thursday's trading after reporting Q3 adjusted earnings of $0.03/share that matched analyst expectations and lowering guidance for full-year silver production while raising its outlook on silver costs.

Q3 swung to a net profit $1.6M, or $0.00/share, from a loss of $22.5M, or a loss of $0.04/share, as revenues rose 35% Y/Y to $245.1M.

Hecla (HL) produced 3.64M silver oz in Q3, up 3.53M oz and lifting YTD silver production to 12.3M oz, and 32,280 gold oz, down from 39,269 oz, but Q3 all-in sustaining costs for silver jumped to $15.29/oz from $11.39/oz in the year-earlier quarter, and gold AISC rose to $2,059/oz from $1,695/oz a year ago.

For the full year, Hecla (HL) cut its silver production guidance by 500K oz and now expects to produce 16M-17M silver oz, down from prior guidance of 16.5M-17.5M oz.

Hecla (HL) lowered FY 2024 guidance for its Greens Creek mine in Alaska by 200K oz, citing an unplanned five-day mill outage that hurt production in Q3, and at Lucky Friday in Idaho by 300K oz, owing to lower milled grades and throughput.

The company said it is not providing guidance beyond 2024 for now, noting a new CEO beginning in his role and an ongoing review of operations at Keno Hill and Casa Berardi in Quebec.
