There's a reason both Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are in North Carolina on Saturday: It is a battleground state where the two candidates are neck-and-neck in the polls. Trump is narrowly up by 1.5 percentage points, according to the Real Clear Politics average of recent polls.

Harris is set to begin her day in another swing state, Georgia, where the RCP polling average shows Trump up by 2.5 points. Trump is also scheduled to visit Virginia, which is considered more of a long shot for the former president. Harris is leading by nearly six percentage points in the RCP polling average.
