0823 GMT - Airbus's third-quarter performance shows the benefit of cost savings and some foreign-exchange tailwinds, Jefferies analysts write in a note to investors. The European plane maker posted higher net profit, adjusted EBIT and revenue, pushing the metrics above company-compiled consensus. Airbus also reiterated its goal of roughly 770 plane deliveries this year. The analysts say there are no particular concerns over the guidance even though it implies a significant step up in deliveries in the last three months of the year. Airbus shares trade 3.3% higher at 144.32 euros. (mauro.orru@wsj.com)
