Western Midstream Partners on Monday said Oscar Brown would become the company's president and chief executive officer, effective immediately.
Brown is succeeding Michael Ure, who is also stepping down from the board and who will remain as a adviser to the company through the end of the year.
Most recently, Brown served as chief financial officer at FREYR Battery.
Western Midstream said Brown has been a director on its general partner's board since August 2019. In his 30-year history in the energy sector, he has held senior positions with Occidental Petroleum and energy-sector roles at several global financial institutions, Western Midstream said.
Previously, he served on the board of directors of Plains All American Pipeline.
