MOSCOW, Oct 16 (Reuters) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's "victory plan" is pushing NATO towards direct conflict with Russia, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday.

Zakharova said the plan Zelenskiy unveiled to his parliament would lead to disaster for the Ukrainian people.

In his speech, Zelenskiy called on his allies to take urgent steps to bolster Kyiv at a precarious moment in a bid to end the conflict with Russia next year.

The Kremlin said earlier it was too early to comment in detail on the plan but that Kyiv needed to "sober up" and realise the futility of the policies it was pursuing.
