LVMH (FR:MC): Louis Vuitton owner LVMH reported disappointing results and said it faced challenges in most markets. Shares of both the French company and other European luxury stocks sold off.
Earnings from Morgan Stanley $(MS)$, U.S. Bancorp $(USB)$ and Abbott Laboratories $(ABT)$ are due before the opening bell, followed by Equifax $(EFX)$, PPG Industries $(PPG)$ and Alcoa $(AA)$ after markets close.
ASML $(ASML)$: The semiconductor-equipment maker's slide extended into Wednesday, with Amsterdam-listed shares down about 5%. Other European, and Asian, chip stocks including TSMC (TW:2330, TSM) and Tokyo Electron (JP:8035) sold off.
Novocure $(NVCR)$: The company's shares jumped by roughly one-third in off-hours trading after the Food and Drug Administration approved its wearable lung-cancer treatment.
J.B. Hunt $(JBHT)$: The trucking and logistics company's quarterly revenue fell by less than analysts' anticipated.
