Group passenger load factor (PLF) stood at 86.1% in September, with SIA’s and Scoot’s PLF at 85.7% and 87.3%, respectively.
Passenger traffic for Singapore Airlines (SIA) as a group rose 7.7% y-o-y to $12.5 billion for the month of September, while passenger capacity was up 9.7%.
The group’s airlines, flag carrier SIA and its budget airline Scoot, carried a total of 3.1 million passengers in Septembers, 7.9% higher y-o-y.

Meanwhile, cargo loads saw a 12.0% y-o-y increase, due to stronger demand resulting from new product launches.
SIA shares gained 1.4% in morning trading.
Similarly, cargo capacity expanded by 10.4% y-o-y for the same period.
As a result, cargo load factor stood at 58.0%, 0.9 percentage points (ppt) higher y-o-y.
During the month of September, Scoot launched services to Subang, Malaysia and Kertajati, Indonesia, which expanded the group’s network in Southeast Asia.
At the end of September, the group’s passenger network covered 127 destinations in 36 countries and territories. SIA served 78 destinations, while Scoot served 71 destinations.
Its cargo network comprised 131 destinations in 37 countries and territories.
