The ASX200 is set to open 0.18% higher today, following Wall Street which experienced a rally on the strength of tech stocks.
The S&P 500 increased 1%, the Nasdaq 100 rose 1.5% and the Dow added 126 points on Tuesday, allowing it to recover some of the previous session’s losses. Nvidia continued strong, moving up 4%, while other tech stocks experienced a rebound, including Apple (+1.8%), Microsoft (+1.2%), Amazon (+1%) and Meta (+1.4%)
On the ASX, Equinox Resources Ltd (ASX:EQN) said drilling work had confirmed a significant rare earth titanium discovery at its Mata da Corda project in Brazil. The results were taken from reverse circulation drilling being conducted at the play, located in Brazil’s Minas Gerais region.
And Helix Resources Ltd (ASX:HLX) has reported high-grade gold extensions at Muriel Tank in central New South Wales. High-grade gold has been picked up from rock samples representing extensions of the project’s quartz veins swarm and mineralised wall rocks.
To commodities – all in US $ here: Iron ore is $112.39 on the Singapore Exchange, gold’s trading at $2622, oil prices all fell, with Brent crude at $77.47 & natural gas is $2.71 a gigajoule.
One Aussie dollar is buying 67.5 US cents.
