Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (TYO:9432) is considering an initial public offering for its global data center real estate investment trust in Singapore, Bloomberg reported on Thursday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
The Japanese firm could raise up to $1 billion from the share sale while data center assets in the REIT could be valued between $2 billion and $3 billion, the report said, citing one of the people.
The listing could happen in late 2025 but the company could also decide to shelve the plan entirely as talks are still preliminary, the people reportedly said.
The potential IPO could be the biggest data center REIT listing in Singapore since the Netlink NBN Trust (SGX:CJLU) went public in 2017, raising about $1.7 billion, the report added.
