Ourgame International (HKG:6899) will form a special investigation committee to investigate certain outstanding audit matters that resulted in the delay of the publication of its 2023 annual results, a Thursday filing said.
Another matter to be investigated comprises the financial information of the company's principal unit, Allied Gaming & Entertainment.
The move came about after the Hong Kong stock exchange instructed Ourgame International to engage independent entities to investigate the matters on hand.
The firm has also hired Baker Tilly Aranea Forensic Investigation as an independent third party investigator and HLB Hodgson Impey Cheng Risk Advisory Services as a third party internal control consultant.
All parties involved in the investigation are expected to look into the matter and provide the online gaming events operator with recommendations on the way forward.
Shares of the company, which were suspended March 28, will remain suspended until the firm meets the bourse's resumption guidance.
