Singapore Airlines (SGX:C6L) reported strong operating results for August, driven by increased passenger traffic and strong cargo operations, according to a Monday filing on the Singapore Exchange.
Singapore Airlines saw a 10.8% rise in passenger capacity and a 7.7% increase in passenger traffic, with a passenger load factor of 85.7%.
Cargo loads soared by 20.9% year-on-year, while cargo capacity increased by 10.4% during the month. Meanwhile, cargo operations recorded a load factor of 56.1%
Combined, Singapore Airlines carried 3.3 million passengers in August, an increase of 9.4% year-on-year.
The group's passenger network covered 125 destinations in 36 countries and territories during the month. Whereas, the cargo network covered 129 destinations in 37 countries and territories.
